James Sabey, P.E. Mr. Sabey has been an associate of the firm since 1985 and is currently one of the managing partners. He has conducted over 16,500 property inspections including residential, industrial, and commercial structures. Mr. Sabey has a total of 36 years of engineering experience dating to 1976. He has a wide range of Civil and Environmental Engineering experience, which includes both design and construction, in addition to his building inspection experience. James is available as a consultant on residential and commercial problems and structural design. He is a member of A.S.C.E., N.S.P.E., is a founding member of the Architectural Engineering Association, and is a licensed Professional Engineer in the State of New York, as well as having a Home Inspector’s license. He is a graduate of Clarkson College with a degree in Civil and Environmental Engineering.

    

Larry H. Warren, P.E.Mr. Warren is the founding member of Larry H. Warren P.E., P.C. He now serves as an active associate of the firm. He formed the company in 1976 and is widely regarded as the most experienced building and home inspector in Rochester. Mr. Warren has 49 years of engineering experience dating to 1963. He has inspected in excess of 18,000 structures in the Rochester area including personal residences, condominiums, apartments, vacation homes, commercial buildings, shopping plazas, schools and retail establishments. He provides in depth consultations with building owners and home owners on specific problems such as water infiltration, weather-proofing, roof and structural problems and repairs, heating and ventilating problems and others. He is a member of N.A.B.I.E., N.S.P.E., and A.S.H.I. He is a Licensed Professional Engineer in the State of New York and also a licensed home inspector. He holds a BSEE from Clarkson University and an MBA from the University of Rochester.

 

Thomas D. Wurzer, P.E.Mr. Wurzer is one of the owners of the firm and has been with the firm since 1999.  Since that time he has conducted over 8000 inspections of residential and commercial properties.  Mr. Wurzer has total engineering experience of 21 years dating to 1991.  Prior to joining the firm, his background as a Mechanical Engineer included extensive construction and design experience as an engineering manager and as a mechanical design engineer.  Mr. Wurzer has also performed hundreds of detailed energy audits.

Mr. Wurzer is a native of Rochester and is a graduate of Fairport High School.  He is both a New York State Licensed Professional Engineer and a NYS Licensed Home Inspector.  He is a graduate of The University of Notre Dame with a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering (BSME) and is also a graduate of the University of Rochester with a Masters of Business Administration (MBA) concentrating in entrepreneurship, finance, and corporate accounting.

 

Douglas J. Burgasser, P.E.Mr. Burgasser is one the owners and managing partners of the firm.  His association with  Larry  H. Warren, PE, PC began in 1989.  He has conducted in excess of 15,000 inspections including residential, industrial and commercial. He has total engineering experience of 32 years dating to 1980, including employment as an engineer at E.I. DuPont and Eastman Kodak.  He also managed one of the carpenter and trade shops at Kodak during his time there.  Doug is a Mechanical Engineer with wide ranging experience in HVAC, piping systems, building construction, etc. In addition to providing inspections he consults on a variety of topics including water infiltration, roofing and siding problems, drainage problems, ventilation, HVAC and others. 

Doug is a native of Buffalo, New York and has resided in the Rochester Area since 1982.  He is both a New York State Licensed Professional Engineer and a New York State Licensed Home Inspector.  He is a graduate of the State University of New York at Buffalo.  Doug and his wife enjoy the thrill and challenge of raising their four sons.

 

Kevin E. Walsh, P.E.Mr. Walsh, a Licensed Engineer and Home Inspector,  has worked in the local engineering and construction industry for over 30 Years.  Kevin brings with him the experience of establishing his own building (primarily homes) and construction firm which continued for over 20 years.  He was involved as principle developer, builder and engineer.  Much of his work was in the residential market.  Prior to owning his own firm, Mr. Walsh worked as an engineer and construction manager for commercial, retail and industrial projects, gaining knowledge and expertise in all aspects of building development. 

Because he has the unique experience of being both an engineer and a builder, Mr. Walsh is also available for inspections of disputed work you may recently have had done.  In addition to providing inspections, he is available for design and preparation of plans for residential homes and additions, structural consulting and plan reviews.

Mr. Walsh grew up in Rochester, and currently resides in Geneseo.  He is a New York State Licensed Professional Engineer and has a Civil Engineering degree from Syracuse University.

 

Michael F. Zamiarski, P.E.  Mr. Zamiarski has been an associate of the firm since 2007.  He has 20 years of engineering experience in the Rochester area, including proficiency in all aspects of project management, directly overseeing emergency response activities.  His expertise also includes regulating chemical storage facilities, substance investigations, and design and implementation of remedial systems pertaining to petroleum and hazardous material spills.

Mr. Zamiarski has over 16 years experience performing home renovation and construction projects of varying size/scope.  He is a New York State licensed Professional Engineer and a New York State Licenced Home Inspector.  Mike graduated from Syracuse University with a bachelor of science degree in chemical engineering.

 

Michael P. Yun, P.E.Mr. Yun, our newest associate of the firm, has nearly 10 years of engineering experience dating to 2003.  He has a wide range of Civil and Environmental experience, which includes design and construction of state urban and rural projects.  He joined our firm recently after moving from Nashville, Tennessee.  Mike is a Tennessee and New York State licensed Professional Engineer and a New York State Licensed Home Inspector.  He is a graduate from the University of Tennessee with a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering.  Mike and his wife look forward to beginning a new stage in their lives in the Rochester area.
